There is nothing quite like spending a hot summer day in the[pool](https://www.aopools.com/pool-maintenance/weekly-pool-maintenance/). Not only is it a great way to cool off, but spending time in a pool can be quality time for the whole family to have fun. There are also a lot of games that you can play in the pool. Below is a list of games that both children and adults will enjoy:   ![Kids play in swimming pool](https://www.aopools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/pool-fun-1.jpg?width=714&height=473&name=pool-fun-1.jpg) Summer is a great season to play in the pool!   ## Marco Polo   This is one of the most popular pool games of all time. It is very simple to play a game of Marco Polo. One person must cover his or her eyes while the others scatter around the pool. The person who has his or her eyes covered must try to find the other players by listening to the sound of their voices and the splashing. This person can yell out "Marco" and the other players will respond by saying "Polo." When the person catches a player, this player must cover their eyes and try to find the other people.   ## **Octopus** One person is selected to be it. This person will have to stand in the middle of the pool. The other players will have to swim around the pool in order to avoid being tagged. The person who is tagged will have to hold hands with the person who is "It." Both players will try to swim around and tag the remaining players. The game continues until all of the players have been tagged. ## Diving For Pennies This is a very fun and simple game that everyone will enjoy. One person needs to toss some coins at the bottom of the pool. Everyone dives in the pool in order to catch as many pennies as they can. The person who is able to catch the most pennies will be the winner. ## Handstand Holds Handstands are even more fun when you do them in the water. People should try to perform handstand holds for as long as they can. The person who manages to hold the handstand the longest without falling over will be the winner. ## F.I.S.H. One player should go first. This person will need to perform an action and have the other players repeat it. When a person cannot perform the action, he or she will be given a letter F. The second time a person cannot correctly perform an action they will be given a I and so on. The first person to spell fish will be out. In order to make this game fair for everyone, a person should not be allowed to perform the same action more than once per game. ## Races The resistance of the water makes racing in a pool more challenging than racing on land. However, this also makes the game more fun. Everyone can race in the pool to see who can get from one end to the other the fastest. This is not only a great way to have some fun in the pool, but it is also a great way to get some exercise in. ## [Call for Free Estimate! 702-560-7665](tel:+17025607665) ![contact AO pools](https://www.aopools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/contact-us-ao-pools1-1.png?width=300&height=184&name=contact-us-ao-pools1-1.png) To request service or receive a free estimate, please fill out the form below and we will get in touch with you shortly.   ![click here for an online pool cleaning estimate](https://www.aopools.com/hubfs/aopools-free-estimate-1.png "click here for an online pool cleaning estimate")   ![2016 Best of Henderson Awards for Swimming Pool Repair & Service.](https://www.aopools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/2016BestofHendersonAwards-3.jpg?width=300&name=2016BestofHendersonAwards-3.jpg "2016 Best of Henderson Awards for Swimming Pool Repair & Service.") ![Thumbtack Best Pro of 2015](https://www.aopools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/thumbtack-2015-1.png?width=380&height=380&name=thumbtack-2015-1.png "Thumbtack Best Pro of 2015")   ![Calvary Chapel Green Valley](https://www.aopools.com/hs-fs/hubfs/calvarylogo-min.png?width=328&height=68&name=calvarylogo-min.png "Calvary Chapel Green Valley") **We Are Licensed and Insured!
